What does the ARGE CANNA do and what is the AC drop?

As an Austrian working group in the field of medical cannabis, ARGE CANNA is considered a non-profit, independent, and non-partisan organization. Founded in 2014, the association supports research into the medical use of cannabinoids and advocates for appropriate regulations regarding the dispensing of cannabis-based medicines within a national health insurance system.

How is the Arge Canna supported?

The community is supported by non-governmental organizations, associations as well as political parties, tradespeople, private individuals, and cannabis patients from all over Austria. The association aims for a controlled release of patient self-supply with cannabis as part of necessary healing procedures.

Quality analyses and certification

As part of routine laboratory examinations, ARGE CANNA independently tests and certifies cannabis products available on the market, which contribute both to the health improvement of people and comply with the corresponding active ingredient amounts. Not all cannabidiol preparations legally available on the market are rated as qualitatively suitable. On several occasions, laboratory analyses have been able to address grievances. Label and packaging information do not always match the actual product content.

What do previous test results show?

A study published only in November 2017 by ARGE CANNA examined 46 CBD/CBDa hemp oils. The results of the extensive test are shown in the attached graphic and revealed that 21 products were within the recognized range of variation, while 25 oils contained up to 30 percent less CBD than stated on the packaging. Only three – including CANNEXOL from cannhelp – received the AC quality seal award.

Few products have delivered what they promise – all other CBD preparations contained significantly less CBD than indicated on the packaging according to test results.

Accordingly, some products do not hold what they claim. Notable test winners were the CANNEXOL products from cannhelp with organic oil 5% and 10%, Greenfield with CBD Gold 50%, as well as Bio Bloom with CO2 extract 4%, 6%, and 8%. ALTERNATIVELY: Among a few others, especially the CANNEXOL products from cannhelp were recognized as notable test winners.

Only those products certified by ARGE CANNA with the AC quality mark have undergone strict laboratory examinations and are considered trustworthy due to their quality controls. We are pleased about the received certification and support such careful controls and verifications around cannabis and its medical use. We strive to maintain our existing quality standards and to continuously improve our reliability and your trust.

What distinguishes the cannhelp quality:

For us as a company, the well-being of people is the focus. That is why we use only carefully selected raw materials for our production. Our production is subject to strict quality controls and our manufacturing methods are continuously developed.

To guarantee maximum independence, our raw materials and products are analyzed and tested by external partners.

Just like with vegetables or food, the flowers, leaves, and stems of the hemp plant used for extracting cannabinoids and terpenes can contain pesticides, herbicides, mold, or other impurities. Furthermore, nature does not produce all plants equally. The content of cannabinoids, terpenes, antioxidants, and other substances in a typical plant complex from industrial hemp can vary greatly. It is our duty as manufacturers to select only the best raw materials and to ensure a consistently high-quality end product.

Our products are tested exactly by batch, and the precise analysis of the product is transparently available on our homepage based on the batch number. We currently test our raw materials and products for cannabinoids, terpenes, microorganisms, heavy metals, pesticides, and solvent residues.
